Dr Stephen Chimes
(Principal Dentist)
Dr Stephen Chimes qualified in 1979 at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He emigrated to Sydney in 1988, and opened a practice in the city soon after. In 1994 he opened a practice in Rose Bay, and has been practising in the same location since then.
Dr Chimes is devoted to continuing education, and consequently is able to provide a wide range of dental services. His particular interests are implant dentistry, orthodontics and CEREC cad/ cam dentistry.
He has embraced all new modern technology, and integrated it into the practice, so that patients are able to receive high quality, comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment.
Dr Jessica Powell
(Associate Dentist)
Dr Jess is a caring, friendly and gentle dentist that enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She loves treating kids and people with dental anxiety.
She is passionate about minimal intervention, preventative treatment and enjoys educating patients about healthy dental habits. She strives to gives every patient a positive dental experience so that they feel calm, relaxed and can pass this attitude onto the next generations.
Dr Jess graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Dental Science in Orange. She has been working on the Sunshine Coast for the last 5 years before making the move to Rose Bay. Outside of dentistry Jess loves yoga, hiking and the beach.
Ruby Labalan
(Dental Hygienist)
Ruby is a qualified hygienist who has been working with Dr Chimes for 11 years. She is a kind and caring practitioner who has a loyal following of patients, appreciating her gentle but thorough approach. She will ensure your periodontal needs are cared for with professional scaling, root planning, and oral hygiene instruction.

Susan Chimes
(Practice Manager)
Susan is the practice manager and receptionist. She is extremely friendly and approachable and will endeavour to accommodate your scheduling needs. Should you require financing for your dentistry she can be approached to facilitate this with a third party, or with a payment plan.
Susan is the wife of Dr Chimes, and together with the other staff create a friendly and “ family” environment.
Yrynne, Kanako and Denise are the dental assistants who are an essential part of the team. They are highly motivated and thorough, meticulously taking care of infection control and chairside procedures.
They are friendly and efficient and dedicated to the practice, and Sue and I really regard them as family!
